If you are looking for a fantastic preschool curriculum for homeschool that is easy to follow, intuitive and gives you lots of freedom, this is a fantastic curriculum for ages 3-5. There is so much included, for the price, you won’t find it’s equal!
I understand the preschool and homeschool teacher’s needs as far as budget and storage go. There is no need to purchase a ton of manipulatives and supplies. Most manipulatives required for this curriculum will be used many times in each theme. Similarly, supplies for the art and science projects will be things you already have on hand at home. You may purchase sets of paint and construction paper through Discount School Supply or Amazon.com. Similarly, many printables can be used across themes. For instance, flashcards and alphabet cards don’t need to be printed to match each theme-unless you want to. I will leave links to almost all manipulatives and supplies needed at the end of this post for your convenience-you will see that for a small investment, you will have all you need.

The Preschool Curriculum Map
I have included a preschool curriculum map with all math, literacy and art/science center activities listed, so you can see the scope and sequence of the entire year clearly and easily. You may follow the map as listed or choose your own sequence. The map shows how I structure my year, but you are free to switch themes around as you like. I have included Halloween, Christmas and Saint Patrick’s Day-but I know that all people don’t allow or celebrate those holidays, so I have included bonus units and more weeks of lessons than most teachers will need when you factor in breaks and short weeks for holidays. Consequently, it is really easy to make it work for you and your students.
The Supply Lists
One of the best features of this curriculum is the supply lists. There is a master supply list for the year which lists all manipulatives, art supplies, science materials, and everything else you will need for the entire year! By using this list, you can see what you have on hand, and make note of what you will need during the year and plan your budget accordingly. Each unit also has a supply list included. It is a good idea to preview the supply list the week before the theme. That way you can make a list of what you will need for the following week. This is fantastic for those times when you need a sub…you will know that you are prepared!

With just one 2-inch binder and a few dividers, you can organize your whole year! I have included some photos of how I set up my storage and my curriculum binder. The binder set up is the ultimate in organization and ease! By printing out the planning pages, supply lists, and contents, you can turn to a page and fill in your newsletter and lesson plan in a snap! Imagine how easy this will be for those days when you need a last-minute sub! A Peek Into Each Theme
Each theme includes 5-9 Math & Literacy center activities, and at least 5 Art/Science center activities, at least 10 theme posters, 12 pocket chart vocabulary cards, supply lists, labels, common core standards list for all math and literacy centers, plus assessment/progress recording sheets for all math and literacy centers. All in a downloadable pdf format.
Math Centers
Each math section begins with a core standards list for each center activity or game. Every printable math center activity can be copied directly from the download onto cardstock. I like to laminate first. then prep. Every activity comes with teaching directions and at least one photo of the activity in action. You will find a list of the concepts covered below.

Preschool Curriculum Books
Every theme includes a list of both fiction and non-fiction books. The books can be found at your local or school library, amazon.com, or local bookstore. The books listed are the books that I read each year to my own students at the fully accredited preschool where I still teach full-time. To me, the book list is one of the best features of this curriculum. You will not have to hunt down books on your own, the list is verified by a real-preschool/pre
Learning Throughout the Classroom
Also included is a list of suggestions for dramatic play themes, block center ideas, as well as sensory bin/table suggestions. I try to keep the block and sensory areas really simple. I know how busy preschool teachers can get. Learning occurs everywhere, but doing too much can sometimes become overstimulating and lead to behavior issues. I do get a bit creative with dramatic play, but even there I feel that ‘less is more’. Surround your students with pictures and text, but don’t overload on the toys and props. Too many ‘things’ can lead to a big mess, confusion , and can also lead to unwanted behavior.
As you can see, This curriculum is comprehensive and thorough. There are activities for 3 year-old, 4 year-olds, and even 5 year-olds. Every center activity can be leveled up and scaled down for easy differentiation. With your own imagination, teaching skill and this time-saving curriculum…you are going to have the BEST (and least stressful) year ever!
