When selecting Polar Animals Books for Preschool & Pre-K, make sure to look for some age-appropriate nonfiction books.  Kids love pictures of real animals in the wild.  They will learn so much about animal habitats and increase their overall vocabulary too!  Here are a few of my favorites.

This is such a cute guessing book that will get your kiddos up and moving like their favorite Polar Animals!

This is a great book about a mama Polar Bear and her cubs in their icy habitat.

Who doesn’t love baby animals?

This is a great book about how polar animals live and survive in the cold climates together.

This book brings Curious George in to simply explain hibernation.

There are many fictionPolar Animals books for Preschool & PreK,  books with loveable characters and fun storylines available!  I love to act out ‘The Mitten’ with my classes.  We use a table with a white blanket over it for our ‘Mitten’, and take turns being different animals, and the audience.  They want to do it again and again!

To me, this is a must-read book for this unit. Even though all these animals are not Polar Animals…this wintry favorite is loved by all my kiddos!  No list of Polar animals books for Preschool and PreK would be complete without this beautifully illustrated story.

This ever-complaining penguin realizes just how good he has it when he meets a wise walrus on a particularly bad day.

This is a very cute story of friendship and love and how it spreads far and wide.

A beautiful book about going  Fiction in a snowy forest.
